For targeted Amex cardholders, use Membership Rewards Points in a purchase on Amazon and you receive 50% off up to a max of a $80.
You only need to use $.01 worth of Membership Rewards Points on the purchase to receive the discount.
Must be sold by and shipped by Amazon. No Digital Purchases

I purchased a new Roku Ultra and a Fire HD 10 for a net cost of $80!

Was eligible for 40%. I was originally eligible for the 15%, and I just placed an order for the 40%, looks like the 15% is still effective....go figure.

How does this work when you have two cards on the same Amazon account? Thinking might better to have two Amazon accounts with two 2 different amex cards to take advantage of these offers. I have a feeling two cards won't get the same offer on the same Amazon account. If someone knows chime in Smilie

Can someone help me with this because amazon and amex seem clueless. When I go on certain Amazon items, I see a verbiage about 50% off up to $80. I have enrolled and linked my card. I have only 1 MR point, and while Amazon shows that I have 1 point, it also says I have no points that i can use. I have only 1 point because the card is new and I asked AMEX to grant it so I could get the deal.

I contacted both amex and amazon about the issue, neither was helpful. Amazon said it wasn't on their end. Amex said they see no such offer connected to my account. They are acting like it is a reward I have to activate off the amex app, but I followed the original post, which says to enroll through amazon.

Any suggestions when neither side seems to be aware of the promo or how to help?

I don't have the 100% right answer, but I have a good hunch. MR points redeemed on amazon are calculated as 1 point = 0.7 cents (aka $0.007). I have a feeling if you had at least 2 points, you would be able to redeem just 1 point to get the discount. The possible reason it's showing up as no points available is because Amazon is counting the 1 point as .7 cents (70% of 1 penny), which is too little.

Based on that, I noticed a similar thing. I actually used up all of my MR points (~$2.50 worth on Amazon), but when I checked my AMEX, it said I had 1 MR point leftover. So while I opted to use up all of my MR on Amazon, it didn't use up that last MR point since it was less than a penny's worth.

I used 1 MR point just fine to qualify for the promo.

You have to have more than 1 available point for redemption even though you can just redeem 1 point. When you only have 1 point available, that turns to $0.007 cent which will be considered $0 to be redeemed.
