For anyone curious about converted Gold:
Allow all your Gold and GP subscriptions to completely expire
Buy 3x 12-month Gold digital codes for $60 apiece [bestbuy.com] ($180 total)
Apply all three codes using your console or the website, declining any offers for additional/bonus time. This should result in 36 months of Gold on your account.
Use this site [xbox.com] to convert all that Gold time to Game Pass Ultimate for $1.
After credit card/BB rewards, it ends up being a little less than $5/mo for 3 years of GPU. It's possible to buy smaller chunks of Gold time and convert them if you don't want to pay $180 up front. 3 years just locks you in for the longest available time.

Yes, you can do it multiple times. I've personally done it twice, and I've seen dozens of people on Reddit and SD saying the same.

Generally the best bang for buck is the 1 month or 3 month Xbox Live Gold, if you have an active membership (just due to their conversion ratios).

My GPU recently expired. I bought a 1 year Gold from Costco and am currently on it. If I add a 1 month GPU (like this deal) will it convert the rest of my Gold to GPU?

It should, yeah. But you might as well add 2 more years of gold first. They only let you do 36 months ahead, but will convert it all when you upgrade.

Yes, but I believe your current time has to expire before you do that. I don't think you can just add on gold to an already active Ultimate account and have it extend. I've always waited a day after it expires before re-upping.

As others have said though, you can get one month codes off of eBay for cheaper though. You can even find 1 month codes with things like Doritos sometimes.

This actually is the best way to go if you cannot find a good deal on stackable conversion, like it was back in July ($18-24/yr).

And this works even if I previously did the 3 year conversion? To be clear, I bought 3 years gold 3 years ago and then did the free trail conversion to ultimate. Those 3 years expired the first of November. Now I'm on a 1 year gold.
