Is this a good pair for my ryzen 5 5600G and B550M motherboard? I love its APU but I need something more powerful without breaking the bank.

Thanks for the response! Yeah I will use it mostly for 1080p gaming for AAA titles because I don't want to upgrade my current 1080p monitor. Outputs don't matter too much since I'm using a hdmi switcher for my 60hz samsung 4k tv.

The 5600g and 5700g are only pci-e 3 capable. This card is pci-e 4 capable. Also does your b550 mb have pci-e 4? If not, maybe you can go for an even cheaper GPU that's compatible with pci-e 3 to save more money?

That would be looking at used cards on ebay. This card won't saturate the pcie3.0 and is absolutely fine. Although, the 6600 has been cheaper recently so if he can wait there will be better versions for less.

Oh ok... Hey what do you recommend for a non gamer who does occasional family videos and photos editing. Should I go with the 5700g or the i5-12600k for longevity, but also cost savings? I don't think I will need a dedicated GPU for my needs but I'll get one down the road if I have to. I know that the 5700g iGPU is superior to the UHD 770. But the CPU performance is better with the 12600k. I think I will only need to use the E cores on the 12600k because most of the time I use the computer for web browsing, watching YouTube, Office suite. I just wish that the 12600k comes with the Vega 8 iGPU of the 5700g then I'd be perfect for my needs! What do you think?

TLDR: You will not be using the iGPU to render your video files for either of the CPUs. You'll be using the cores on the CPU so the faster CPU is your better choice. However, consider cost for all the parts together and take that into consideration.

For occasional video editing you will be fine with almost any newer video card. You can safely ignore EmailNBheleu. I am a professional editor and videographer. If you were going to be getting into more serious video editing, and time was of the essence, I'd say that nVidia is the most supported amongst the video editing softwares. That only means your rendering will be faster and you might be able to edit 8K timelines without proxies. A waste of money for your usage.

This, to me, is entirely a question of budget. Personally I would go with the 5700g, but that would be for the flexibility of light gaming. If I wasn't going to do any light gaming you will probably be happy with the 12600k. You could always add a budget graphics card later if you wanted a little more capabilities.

A friend of mine is selling his used RX 6600 and RX 6600XT. Do you think paying $50 more is worthy enough for me to get 6600XT? Both still has 1+ year warranty and came with a box. I only want to play 1080p AAA titles on medium/high settings.

I own this card. Bought it a year ago for twice the price (not such a slick deal). For 1080p gaming, it has been amazing. No hiccups or issues. Just be aware that it only has one HDMI and one DisplayPort. I would buy it again.

Why is it called a lite edition? Does this take AAA batteries?
