I'm looking for a solid soundbar to go with my new LG C2 (that I'll be buying soon) for our living room. Already have a separate home theater room and setup so just looking for something that works well for daily watching. Is the Beam Soundbar Gen 2 sufficient? Do you need a sub with it?

I just got a c2 as well.. ordered a full Sonos setup, but might return it for the Samsung q990b. I keep reading that the sound for tv/movies is better on the Samsung and music is better on sonos

If you have a Sonos set-up who cares what the TV speakers do? I've got the Arc & Sub, getting the One SL's for more "surround sound"

I have the 77 LG C1, I just turn the TV's speakers off

I have the Arc, with sub and two Fives as surrounds. Definitely needs the sub. The tiny drivers in the Arc can't replicate what a sub does.
