Honestly, a Beam 2 was enough for my 12x20 living room.

Unless your bedroom is 600 sq ft and 24 ft ceilings, an arc will be enough.

However, I think I bought an arc for $519 refurbished directly from Sonos. I could not tell that it ever touched someone else's hands and it has continued to work.

Open box? It's up to whatever random Best Buy employee randomly tested it via unknown thoroughness.

Personally I would go with the Arc Ultra if you aren't planning to add a sub. The standard Arc is extremely lacking in the bass department and sounds very tinny and hollow because of it.

The price is way too high for what it is. you can get a surround sound and subwoofer for half the price if you bought an LG.

i live in a condo and adding a sub 4 would be overkill. the arc ultra and two era 300s works well for me, with more than enough ample bass for condo living. however, if the sub goes on sale for 30% or more i might get one. Wink

Yes. I have the sub and really think it's unnecessary. However the rear speakers did make a noticeable difference

The price apparently varies from store to store. I found the black at the price the OP listed but the white was $20 more. I would love the upgrade but I cant justify changing from the Polk I currently have as it sounds pretty good.

No, Sonos soundbar standalone has always been overpriced and modeled to have people eventually buy their other speakers to improve the sound.

You absolutely need a subwoofer for this. Anyone who says otherwise has little experience in audio and what is expected, which is the vast majority of Sonos product owners.
