$559 with integrated material supports. Probably worth it for the extra $10

Really hoping Home Depot matches. I hate playing the shipping lottery with heavy items.

The only thing this saw has over any other one is the clearance from the hinged design.

The stand with the Dewalt can be returned for $146, making the saw $254.

$254 vs $550

More than double for clearance? Not worth it.

Keep sucking on your milkshake.

That's a great deal for the dewalt saw! I probably would have gone that route if space wasn't an issue. I have the back of the Bosch against my wall which I wouldn't be able to do with the Dewalt.

Totally get it. At some point, if clearance is very important, then it's money well spent.

The Bosch is better... but I hacked my Dewalt deal and returned the stand for $150. The Bosch isn't $300 better for my purposes and I am building a stand with wings for it anyway.

I'm pointing out that posting the price of a different product with no context at a different price is unhelpful.

As you've not clarified that you think it's a better deal…it's not the same product. That saw and stand goes on sale every year like clockwork, it's not a bad product but it's also fundamentally not the same as this one.

If someone is looking for this exact product then this is a good deal because they would care about the price of the dewalt as much as they would care about the price of a milkshake.

I think it's useful information and possibly worth posting but would benefit from different framing. Maybe "if you're in the market for a sliding mitre saw I got the …" is helpful. Also please post a link if you're talking about a competing deal.

Also you'll notice that my condescension in my reply did nothing to change your mind but made you double down on your original position. So maybe think about other people reading your initial condescending reply and think how they will react and feel. Aim to be helpful, not to feel smug.

This is a great saw. It's always comes back to a perfect 90 after cutting angles. It is just a dream to use. It's probably more than most people need, I would say save the money and put it towards a good table saw if you're just starting out. But if you're doing high end finish carpentry this is a great choice. I would say it is more of a competitor to the Festool and the Makita. The other brands really don't compare. When you compare it to those two brands it's really not a bad price. But again, get what suits you best.

If you do get this you'll have to add a little rubber to the dust shroud for better dust collection (the only complaint, but easily fixable).

It's also longevity I think if heavily used. The mechanism apparently does not develop looseness over time like saws that have rods do. (Least that's what I read on some forums last I looked)

Should be noted that these have neither an LED or Laser. Its possible to mod them in but its a bit annoying.

The european version does have a light or laser (I cant remember) so I suspect you could import the parts.

For this price, I definitely agree. That is the one down side in my opinion but worth it for the rear clearance of this saw. Personally, I haven't found a need for them but have researched the options.

There are hacks for making a shadow light and there's an option for battery mounted laser.

Hey I just wanna say I just bought this saw. I actually bought it used on marketplace. I was going to pay for the new price when it was listed at 649. I paid 450 for it used. But the guy selling it had only used it once and even put a zero clearance insert in for me lol.

Anyway, wanted to say this saw is amazing. So smooth. I'm currently using it for a floor install and it is probably the nicest tool I've ever used.

If your thinking about it at this price it's a great purchase. Yeah there's no laser or anything, but with my zero clearance insert I can easily align cuts and the saw is so smooth it's easy to adjust if I'm off a little by just looking at the blade on the material.
