Bad switches?
If you want hot swap, get the EVGA Z15. It's cheaper than this one too a lot of the time.

Red = linear and silent (no bump)
Brown = tactile bump and silent (you feel a little bump when the key is activated)
Blue = tactile bump and clicky [noisy](same tactile bump as browns but makes a clicking noise + bump).
There are speed switches and different actuation pressures with different colors but for the most part all 3 switch types falls under the above 3. Razer has their own colors but same concepts. Which switch type you want is really a preference thing. You can try them out at stores like Best Buy or Microcenter.
