If you wanna Dell you don't wanna go lower than their 5000 series. Personally, I like their 7000 series, some can be bargains, some XPS looks, with many similar features, almost near their build quality, without the higher price.
- Bigger 16-inch display, with 16:10 instead of 16:9 aspect ratio
- Touch and 300 nits (vs non-touch and 250 nits on the OD model)
- Much nicer build quality - 5000 series is mostly metal, while 3000 series is all plastic
- Much more efficient (cooler and quieter) Ryzen 5625U, that also performs better [cpubenchmark.net] than this Intel i7-1255U
- USB-C supporting Power Delivery and DisplayPort, vs data-only on the OD model
- Likely larger battery (54 Whr, vs. either 41 or 54 on the OD model, I'm guessing it's the former)
The Inspiron 16 only comes with 8GB RAM, but that's an easy $30 upgrade, it has 2 SODIMM slots. You'd have to be nuts to go for the OD model instead.
