Good specs and very very tempting just for the headphone jack, SD card support, and camera options.

However, if you are with TMobile, this phone is missing some important 5G bands: n71, n258, n260, n261. So it's missing a bunch of the mmWave bands that may or may not affect you depending on where you live. IIRC those bands are important for high density places with lots of buildings as they can penetrate for better signal. Also, very good to have in more remote places where some bands might not be able to reach. It looks like it might not work with VoLTE so buyer beware. Compare the network specs with your carrier before purchasing and check the Amazon reviews/questions as well.

I got a Pixel 7 pro last month and it supports these and many other bands just to give you an idea.

Also, note that Sony does not have the best of track records releasing timely Android updates. Very cool phone for the right user's needs though for sure.

Same price via Sony website and if you select "bundle and save" on the product page you can add free xm4 earbuds. Shipping is free and estimated delivery for me was in 1-2 days. You can also trade in your old phone but values are kind of low. Great phone but I don't need a new phone anymore. Just posting this info for others.

This has a better photo/video/audio editing suite. Camera has way more controls than either. Battery is likely better than the P6-7 series. Audio jack, SD, etc.

Id love to get this phone but all phones with the Gen 1 Snapdragon 888 have been absolute garbage stand by battery. I dont want to try to get a third one in an effort to then have to return it. Why do ppl go iphone or Samsung, usually the crazy good trade in values as well for ppl in that eco.

It was a good buy years ago like you said and it still is. It's just that Sony's phones aren't for everyone. They're made for a specific group of enthusiasts. My one year old Sony phone has the October 1st security patch so I'd say they're doing good with updates.

Up to you, but the S10 line is already no longer receiving monthly security updates (https://www.sammobile.com/news/ga...y-updates/), and soon it will probably stop receiving any at all soon. You wont be getting a headphone jack on any recent Samsung flagship phone either. If you want a 3.5mm it's mostly down to some midrange OnePlus models and Sony.

I just am considering this because I hate giant phones, which is all you can get nowadays.
