Whatever, I went with it. $2,249.10 after taxes here in commiefornia (no AMEX). I did split it on two credit cards which had a $200 bonus each (I was getting ready for this purchase).

This is basically the best of their XPS line-up and the next rung down on the ladder has an i7 and 3050 Ti... which is ~20% less in performance... for about $1800 before taxes currently. Should work for most people.

I think this is worth the extra $400 for me though and I doubt they will heavily discount their highest tier XPS any further even on BF. Their return policy seems pretty good for personal-use consumers so should be good to return if for some reason someone DOES discount this heavily.
