The 1TB is $50. Wish it was $40 since it's half of the storage haha

1TB $50

1TB that fits Steam Deck $140

WTF

I bought a 1TB 2280 that can be cut down to fit steamdeck for $70 just in case anyone needs to know. Lots of youtube videos but little information on cuttable ones.

hehe, saw the videos and for the 1TB that can be cut is mostly OOS or over $130.00 (samsung 991) . I bought an SN530 1TB 2230 for $117 @aliexpress when thy had their BF sale earlier this month.
Good info on the videos but most 1TB that dont have memory on both ends are hard to get or pricey.

BIG Caveat. This drive does not have a DRAM cache, so depending on how well performance is tuned on the drive (eating some of the nand to function as SLC cache) or how much of your ram it eats as a buffer, performance may not be very good for large write operations or file transfers.

I would advise against for a primary drive, however a secondary drive for games this might be ok, but your download times and install times for games may suffer. I'll admit, they seem quite enticing for media server usage. It'll be real interesting to see how well(or bad) they perform, could be decent, or as slow as a something like a flash drive.

Edit:
Looks like my initial thought was correct Grabbed a review from four days ago from someone named yobo.

USB 2.0 Write Speeds After Filling SSD Write Cache
This drive appears to have 1/4th of it's free space as SSD Write Cache. After you fill the write cache, the write speeds go from 1.7 GB/s to 40 MB/s, which is about as fast as a USB flash drive. I wanted to use this as a game drive and mostly fill it, but I fear updating games on it will be extremely slow. Honeslty, pay an extra $50 to get a better SSD.
I don't know how to test the speed after filling the "Write Cache" but this is what I am getting while copying a 8 Gb file to this NVMe drive !!!!

It's only for New customers. Plus they insist on a non-VOIP mobile number. How were you able to get it?

Good for video editing?
400TBW, long story short; no.
TBW can be simplified by 90% of total storage that can be used every day. So imagine writing 1.8tb every day, it will last you 400 days before it bricks or shows sign of instability. This isnt the most accurate description of TBW but more or less an idea. You can read up on it and see where video editors would prefer in terms of TBW.

You have friends with phones and use a different email address. When you check out they ask for your phone number, not your name...

The code is just a text image that they scan, and if you click you download the picture.
