Good deal. Amazon and Best Buy have the same receiver for $450 but no gift card offer! BTW it's for $115 not $135. But it's still a better deal! Side note - Amazon and best buy won't price match the gift card promo.

The Denon (s760) will have 7.2 channel at 75watts per channel. The Yamaha is a 5.2 channel at 80watts per. The Denon supports Dolby Atmos and the Yamaha does not. Only Dolby vision and true sound. The hdr and 4k/120hz 8k/60hz is the same. The denon has 6 hdmi inputs while the Yamaha has 4.

Quality wise ? No idea. I'm not sure how much different they sound or how long they will last. I purchased the Yamaha and I'm expecting it to arrive soon. Sadly I don't have a Costco membership but I'm tempted to try it out. On paper, it looks like the Denon is the winner. I have no real world experience tho

So i have an older onkyo 5.1 but it doesn't have any ways to stream music to. Is adding one of those bluetooth adapters w optical out a good idea ? Or just replace it w something like this

Yeah or Bluetooth to RCA should be fine as well. You are going from bluetooth (compressed) to Analog or Optical, optical is probably overkill (but not bad).

Try to find a bluetooth receiver that supports aptX. I've got a few of em laying around lol.
