Credit reports are a scam unless you are dirt poor. They didn't exist before the 80s. You take a small point hit for closing a credit card, and 6 months later you'll have a 150+ increase for no reason. It's stupid.

People's credit scores go down when they pay off debt. It's a stupid system you shouldn't give a shit about unless you're broke and under 300.

I know it's only $50. But it sucks I just applied last week and now this promo comes about.

Last time I applied, they pulled a hard credit and never heard of them because I did not get approved immediately even though I was pre qualified. I even called them and chatted with them and they could not trace.my application. I tried again this time and same thing. I have a.credit score or 835 and have zero debts, lots of equity in the house and have saving and plenty of cash (one year of salary in the bank). I do have three chase cards. They should say that you won't get a card if you have too many chase credit cards.

Is this true what one of the reviewers said about the card? "Chase informed me that they would begin charging interest from the date of purchase rather than from the end of the statement cycle. In other words, they would be treating purchases as if they were a cash advance in terms of when interest applied"? There were 48k likes.
