Last year, this set did go on sale around this time for $99. Not sure if you know, but you can do a search for any item through the search bar to discover the answer to such questions.

That set is not even on the same playing field. It's only 1/4" and 3/8" drive, 42 pieces are nutdriver bits, 1 spark plug socket vs all 3 sizes, no wobble joints, 1/3 of the extensions. The dewalt sockets are knurled for easier grip with greasy hands. You get the ratchet wrenches, but with the $50 saved will go a long way towards a set. If anything this shows how much a value the dewalt set really is.

In addition to the Awesome Dewalt set listed that I purchased a couple of years back, I purchased this Dewalt Set locally from Tractor Supply company on Black Friday Sale the year before for $119.99! (Yep I looked up my receipt) I have never seen this set for sale anywhere else but TSC. https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc..._vc=-10005

That one has tons of duplicates in 6 and 12 point for whatever reason, but the sizes don't run the span of the dewalts. It goes to 20mm and 7/8 vs 24 and 1", 4 extensions vs 9, no wobble joints, I don't see spark plug sockets listed, surely it has something, 100 pieces are still bits. I havn't used the newer craftsman ratchets, maybe they have vastly improved, but from several years ago no comparison to the dewalts.

This set is all killer, no filler. If you work on cars, this kit is amazing.

I've had mine for a little over a year now, and it's one of the best kits I've found. The fact it has things like swivels, and three extensions per size, and even hex key sockets really sets it apart.

That is a good set (and I'm considering it) but it is 33% more expensive than this one.

The original price is a joke, but it's still a good set. Bought it last year, the sockets lock into the case to the point it can be hard to get them out. But that's probably a good thing so they don't fall out in transport

I bought this set for $99.99 last time when it was on sale. I received it one week later, picked it up at the front door, went through into the garage, and right after I entered my garage, I put it right there on my right hand side on the floor by the door. As of today, every time I pass it, and I look at it, and I tell myself, I need figure out a place that I can keep this set safe and sound, just in case in the far future, and maybe, one day, that I'll need it for some reason. It is still there though, never moved an inch. 😂

I like that this set is mostly sockets, a good extension bar set and also that it has universal joint adapters. I have a similar set by DeWalt with less sockets, a screwdriver set and not as many extensions and no universal joints. It's held up great over the years and I even leave it in my car in humid weather and freezing winters. Only some of the screwdriver tips that I've actually used have started to rust a bit.

I paid like $100 for a combo deal of that DeWalt set and some other smaller tool, but they was many years ago. I think I'd rather have this set at $100 then mine though.

I think this is the same set I picked up a couple yrs ago for around $100. Very nice set, all 6 point sockets and right on par with old craftsman stuff. A couple of times I have used a 4ft pipe over a breaker bar to get lug nuts off and the sockets held up. Impressed. Down side is it is big and very heavy. I keep a Channel lock set in my truck and Dewalt in he garage .
