So USB-C is 3.0 hub only. Not DP alt mode, it seems.
It does support display over USB-C.

This is not IPS panel. Not good one. Check dell's deal. Million times better.

VA is samsung's version of IPS. there's really no difference to average users.

Hi all, I'm looking for all purpose 4K monitor. Ideally curved since I already have a 32 inch curved 2k. I want to upgrade my 27inch to 32 inch to match my other 32 inch. Not a gamer here, mostly for streaming and photography. Do you guys recommend this? Or is there something better without breaking the bank, thanks!

Same here.
I have this same exact monitor. it is dim, very very dim. I think BHP charges restocking for returning - not sure.

I just bought a Samsung 32" VA panel 4K monitor from Samsung EPP, and I am pretty dissappointed. The brightness is much better once you turn off energy savings mode, but then you deal with horrible (or more apparent?) color reproduction at high resolution. My "black" text shows up as a rainbow of colors.
I guess I was more spoiled with my older IPS Dell Ultrasharp 2K monitor than I realized. My usage is only work/office so no concerns from a gaming/refresh standpoint.

I like the remote as I change inputs throughout the day several times.

Anyone know how easy it is to return at BH if it doesn't work out?

They charge a restocking fee I believe.

Didn't realize that. Only looking for a monitor, which the LG looks to be better as although a little more money (100nits higher brightness, 4ms quicker response time, etc.).

I'm glad someone posted this, my work laptop is DP only and that would have screwed me.

My bad. From the description: You can connect a compatible laptop to the monitor through the USB Type-C connection, which supports power delivery and DisplayPort over USB-C. It does support DP alt mode through USB-C.

I wrongly assumed based on the USB 3.0 spec that it doesn't have enough bandwidth.

Anyway. This is a really good monitor as long as you don't mind VA.

So just to double check that means you can use a display port out cable to usb-c or a usb-c to displayport (female) adapter right?

I don't know if that is possible. DisplayPort alt mode means the USB-C port on the video source can send out signal received by the C port on this monitor. Or you can send from a C port through an adapter to a DisplayPort on a monitor.

I don't know if you can send signal from a DisplayPort source through an adapter to a C port sink on this monitor.
