mine updated today as Activated the device. but no step 4. Did your countdown appear late after?
Yes. It updated the next day. Only 30 days. Just give it a day or two. It will be 30 days if you did the retail sim route

I don't have Fi plan. How can I get this phone with 30 days service commitment instead of 120 days. On Fi website today, am not seeing 30 days working for the existing customer, is that deal over? Or It can still be had through some hack? Thanks

There are past posts on how to use a BYOD Fi SIM from Best Buy or Amazon with your Fi compatible phone to become an existing customer, wait a few days, then order the 30-day S22.

The offer for existing customers is still available but is only shown to existing customers.

Thanks, do you happen to know when does this 'existing customer' offer expire since I can't see it and want to make sure I don't open up the BYOD sim from BB in vain. Ideally, would also like to make use of S21 trade-in if I can score one from ebay/swappa.

I don't know when the 30-day S22 deal will end, but with the S23 expected to be announced by Samsung in early Feb I expect something will change then.

Attached is the 30-day terms for existing customers.

Just went for this deal as they are still offering $210 for an S20 FE trade in, so its basically $100+one month service to upgrade to a new S22. As I already have left over Fi credit from previous deals I'll take the upgrade (basically what I paid a few years ago to go from S9 -> S20 on a trade in deal at Costco).

Great thanks, another question instead of going through BB physical SIM card: I have an iphone and GFi website allows bring your phone with esim. Does that route works as existing customer for this deal.

I dont see why it wouldnt. Just activate the phone and start service. Wait 48 hours of being a customer prior to ordering the s22.

I don't think anyone in this thread had done it that way. Technically, it should work. But I don't know what type of plan you'll need to activate the eSIM. The physical SIM from BB, Amazon costs $10 but you'll get $10 Fi credit with the very first bill, so the SIM only costs you the sales tax on it.

Whichever SIM you decide to use, make sure to wait at least 48 hrs after its activation for Fi system to fully recognize your status as an existing Fi customer before ordering the 30-day S22.

You should just have this pinned on your clipboard manager so you can just paste the warning every other day - save a lot of typing....

After the trouble that you and others had, it's worth repeating that advice to save the newcomers the grief.

If the promo for existing customer is still available after you completed the 30-day terms, you can order again using the same account.

random point - I now think the countdown tracker updates early afternoon ET - I have been on 2 days left since yesterday - has not updated to 1 yet but I bet it does before 3pm
