Google is doing these Apple trade-in deals in getting people to switch over to android.
I feel like the Samsung S10 is like a hot potato. I can't imagine it having a decent trade in value for mych longer.
*edit* - hmm, they give me a ~$300 trade in value on the S10 fot a p7. Still I do think I'll just see if the S10 is worth anything next year. I'm pretty sure they'll do more trade-ins on future pixel phones.
Nice find!
You can also get around $410 trade-in credit with an iPhone XR or XS, towards a Pixel 7, which is currently on sale for $100 less than the usual price, making it available for $499 right now.
I actually just bought a used (128GB) iPhone 7 last week, from eBay, that arrived today. And after looking at my Purchase History, it shows that I paid $37 total for it, with shipping and taxes (the guy accepted my $25 'Best Offer').
I also bought a used (64GB) iPhone 8 last week, from eBay, that is on its way, and I paid $54 total for it.
I plan on trading in the iPhone 7 towards a Pixel 6a (which will get $248 towards the current $299 price).
And I plan on trading in the iPhone 8 towards a Pixel 7 (which will get $292 towards the current $499 price).
So, if you're looking to upgrade and you'd like to get yourself a Pixel 6a, or a Pixel 7, right now would be a good time to do so. The Google Store Black Friday sale is going now, through November 28th. So, there are still some great deals available, and you have a week left, to buy a Pixel at these discounted prices.

Thanks
I'm asking if Google will accept the device even though I will be paying the phone off for another 2 months.
It's carrier locked to ATT as they don't allow you unlock the device and use it on another carrier until it is paid off. Once it's paid off you can unlock it. This shouldn't have any effect on the trade in, correct?

I would say, if you are going to send in a phone that has a busted screen, you should try to put a screen protector on it, to help keep the screen intact; so that it doesn't get any worse, and so that it might not look as bad as it would, without a screen protector on. It just seems like the people, who inspect the phones, would probably be more likely to accept the phone as a trade-in, if it has a screen protector on it. Plus, that way, it's easier for them to actually test the screen and make sure that it responds to touch and that the phone power is on and functions.

I have a 4XL that I bought the day they launched and it is still very fast and works well. However, I typically don't run a ton of data mining hungry social media apps.
