You can add this to existing wired detectors https://www.thesmartest
They won't make it.
They want you to have to buy all z-wave. If you have 1 unit that is wired with z-wave, then you only need that 1 unit.
Only solution is to get a z-wave stand alone sensor.
And once the batteries are low it chirps every 5 minutes.
