This is $50 cheaper than what I bought it at Best Buy for a few weeks ago. Attempting the price match now.

Btw got this (M51a-H6) last year from Costco for $199 I believe as their doorbuster online deal. Working good so far. Don't know if it is the same model

Same! I love it. Just make sure to update it via USB. They frequently put updates on it that's solves a lot of the problems.

I have an older unitthat I can connect to wifi for firmware updates and connect to it via the app and control it etc. Does this do that?

I've been using this for about a year and half. Noticed some popping noises after getting it all set up. Firmware update fixed it. Just a heads up.

It is not "much" better. I compared both side-by-side and IMO, both sounded exactly the same. The upward firing speakers didn't make any difference in the 512. If anything, I preferred the 51 marginally as it was quicker to respond when switching inputs. Both have some delay in getting the sound when switching inputs or fwd/rew movies, but it was less noticeable in the 51.

I don't think the 512 was worth the extra money. I returned it and kept the 51.

BTW, the 51a is now $250 at Sam's.
