People going through with this when the promo disappears from the cart have never dealt with Visible before. IT's hard enough to get promos when it does show. I believe they are being sued for it.

Sure, but at Metro you don't need to pay more than 1 month, you can simply store the phone for 6 months. Visible needs 3 months of service for the $300GC, and 2 months of service for the unlock. It's a wash I think.

The CS rep stated that once you activate the new device, your existing device becomes de-activated. I had a similar question as well.

Do you need to activate the new phone? I was thinking of jumping off the tmobile plan for three months, and then going back on to get a trade-in bonus for a better iphone. Being able to get this during the "New customer" period is a bonus but not if it deactivates my original phone (was just going to use the new visible sim for three months in my current phone and keep this sealed in box).

I've used Visible promos twice to get Iphone SEs - 2020 and 2022. Seamless both times. Just remember to log into the account and get the promo code before it expires.
I took this up a 3rd time for Iphone SE
I used ebay boost mobile port seller choumankan who was very prompt https://www.ebay.com/itm/284678675123
Just buy it off ebay - he will give account number, pin and phone number to you.
use that to port.
you should have the promo mentioned in the checkout and the receipt.
set a calendar alert for 3 months and get the promo.
