Will this fit under seat in most airlines, or is this firmly an overhead bag?
If it's not fully packed, can fit under

hows the padding on this one. got an expensive gaming laptop so i worry if i ever drop the bag
I travel with a legion 7 2021 in the laptop sleeve (16" @ about 7-10lbs). It's amazingly padded. Never had issues with damage considering I've dropped my bag a few times. I love this bag.

Bought it bc I travel for work and needed something that had good pocket organization and great durability/protection since I travel with expensive gear.

Never spent more than $20 on a Walmart backpack so I was hesitant of the full MSRP of $300. Never regretted this once I had it in hand. (I bought the Aer Travel 3 with the orange interior lining for visibility but thats extra)

Depends on the airplane and it's space under the seat. I prefer the legroom so I always throw this overhead. I'm sure it could fit under the seat if it's not packed to the brim.

Grabbed the Flight Pack 3 X-Pac. Been looking at getting this lately as it's a very versatile 3 way pack.

Has anyone had luck getting the AER TP3 Small by as a Personal Sized item on flights?

Trying to find a great bag for One Bagging on quick trips without paying the baggage fees that cost as much as the flights now.
Wife had no problem with hers(TP3). I have a Peak Design 45L and never had a problem.

I'm more of an Art City Pack + Carry on luggage guy, but speaking to the quality of Aer bags, they're great. Pretty heavy duty material that I'm not too worried about breaking while traveling.

I recently moved and am now living without a car. I was thinking about getting a nice backpack for hauling groceries and such around on foot. I don't know anything about backpacks. I'm thinking this might be overkill. Any suggestions?

Have bought returned an Aer Travel Pack 2 (which TP3 improves upon) and bought both the Travel Pack Small as well as the City Pack Pro. Both are exceptional bags, and the travel pack small is a much more manageable size for most purposes than the bigger brother.

For people using this as a business bag or maybe 1 night travel bag, the City Pack Pro is a great choice. Or, you can get 2-3 nights easily out of the Travel Pack 3 (Small) if you pack carefully, and it is still small enough to use for bringing your laptop/daily carry stuff into the office.

tldr: The Travel Pack 3 (Small) is in my opinion the most versatile overall Aer bag (jack of all trades...)

This is no doubt the Yeti brand of hyped retail products for the gullible and privileged trying constantly to figure out how to differentiate themselves from other people, besides having, say, actual talent.

You should be fine, pretty much only Spirit and Frontier enforcing somewhat strictly. UA won't charge you for 1" over, as far as I've tried

The TP3 Small should be fine as a personal item. Possible to be pushing your luck on the likes of Spirit or Frontier if you really overstuff it (particularly the outermost pockets, since they don't have the compression), but for anyone else you'll be fine.

The TP3 regular actually could be a personal item as well if you don't overstuff it, subject to the YMMV bit for Spirit/Frontier.
