Best Buy agent: In order to keep the spirit of the holiday sale alive, the price match option will be disabled from the Friday before Thanksgiving (Nov,18,2022) to the end of Monday, Nov,28,2022.
But I got good news for you: we'll re-enable price matching after Nov 28, and there's a high chance you'll see some great deals throughout the holiday return and exchange period where you can request a price match for purchases made on Oct. 24/2022 through Dec. 31/2022 up until January 14th with a few exceptions.
I'm afraid to say that we don't have option to do price match.
Me: Well, in keeping with the spirit of saving money alive, I'm going to take the iPad to a best buy store and return it when it gets delivered today then buy it from Costco for $50 less

Just to echo the experience of other folks here, I couldn't get Best Buy to price match the 12.9" model, so I am going to return it. Just ordered it on Costco with my Costco Citi card instead.

I called into Best Buy today just to verify that there wouldn't be a restocking fee when I returned the iPad. I let the rep know about it being $50 cheaper at Costco. Surprisingly she said that I wouldn't have to return the iPad, that she would be able to do the price-match for me. For whatever reason, it did take about a half an hour for her to process it, but all good otherwise. I received an email verifying the $50 credit was going to be applied back to my credit card.
It seems others on here aren't having the same luck though. It might just be hit or miss, depending on which rep you get. I personally wouldn't try it through the chat, as others are getting denied that way..
Knowing they usually don't do after-purchase price-matching, I called Best Buy anyways to make sure there wouldn't be a restocking fee if I returned the iPad. It saved me the hassle of returning and repurchasing from Costco anyways; so I'm glad I called..
