Any comparison between this and the Vava? We just bought the Vava in 2021 and while it's fine I guess, the interface is pretty clunky.
While Vava is a good UST for its time(2021). Newer ones are much improved.
This is by far the brightest UST with a killer price so far. Also by a big company.
The caveat for this model compared to AWOL3500 only is lack of 3D.
However, I would actually go for Formovie theater for $3000 instead due to its contrast. But if UST is in the living room with a lot of light, this will be best.

UST competition is getting hot. Philips is launching U5 UST with similar specs to VAVA with half the price.
In the next 1-2 years, UST will be major player in the home theater market.

Any idea if this is a universal discount epson is going to be running at other retailers as well?

I had the LS11000, which had a great image but thinking a short throw would be much better for apartment living.

So is Formovie your recommendation at this pricepoint?

If you want to do any gaming on it, this UST kills the Formovie for input lag. The Formovie is slightly better contrast and colors from my understanding.

Yeah. I would agree.
Gaming, lots of lights-epson.
Darker room with slightly better colors-formovie.

Looks like to be at this lower price for multiple retailers. Dell also offering a $175 gift card with the purchase, 3k is still too much, waiting for a better sale.

Honestly can't go wrong with either. If you game, Epson. If you strictly watch movie in a light controlled room, Formovie theater.

I'm waiting just to see if the black model goes on sale for that price, but I wouldn't count on it getting much cheaper anytime soon. This model just launched like 1-2 months ago.

Oh, nice! Anyone know of any other retailers with it on sale with less, uh.... universal taxation? Else I may try to go for the amazon credit card.

I'll go for formovie theater as it is already proven and this is relatively new in the market. As we investing $3k , we should invest wisely . Tbh

Sell me your LS11000. I would love that projector. Did you find a good deal on it somewhere?
