Intel basically gave it away to the USB consortium, and USB 4 which Ryzen 7000 series chips support can do eGPU.

The backend tech that allows eGPUs to work is an "optional" USB 4 feature though, so it's possible some board makers will cheap out and not include the more complex feature.

Not a good deal. RTX 3050 is NOT good for gaming due to 4gb vram. 3050 can not even run some games due to vram limitations. 3060 is superior & can be had for the same price if you shop around.

The one from Best Buy has the ti video card which is better, but uses DDR4 RAM, and has older spec usb-c ports and a slower processor which are bad. The Amazon one has the better processor, DDR5, newer ubs-c ports but a slower video card. Also there are some reports of the Best Buy one having a weak power supply that can't keep up with the video card.

This one has two M2 slots for SSD drives and comes with one and another empty.
I don't know the type of your 1TB SSD that you want to install on this laptop. If it is M2 so that is simple, only screwdriver thing you can learn from youtube, if it is a 2.5" SATA SSD, I think impossible.
