These warranties are hands down a scam.

So why not just buy from Amazon directly where it's 1697 + 10% back if you have their card? Seems like a similar deal if you take out the extended warranty factor

Because you can buy from B&H and use paypal and get 5x points on chase flex which can then be transferred to a premium card and get 7.5x points in redemption.

The burn in stuff is fueld by anti-comp marketing 3-4 years ago. Sony even funded some of the ads about it.

Ironically sony now buys its panels from LG ....

Burn in is definitely real, I have an lg c7 oled and it has darker towards the center where the box on back has all of the electronics. Oled has the common issue of burn in. Possibly not as much on newer sets but it can still happen.

While 15k hrs sounds like a lot it depends ... In my home the tv is on for about 10hrs per day on avg. So that ends up being less than 3.5 years...

I'm in the same boat, the burn in is real and it sucks.

Not sure if you guys have specific experience for burn in while Costco denies the warranty. I have asked Costco rep for burn in warranty he told that that it is covered and bring me the allstate coverage brochure which didn't mention anything specific exclusions.

Luckily I don't so far, but I bought the C1 55" last year at Costco with the warranty and the other perks they had.

let's hope I never have to inquire about it either... i try my best to not have static images on the tv.

Wouldn't the Samsung S95B for $1399 be the way to go? Seems to be the highest rated TV on Rtings.

Cback can make a huge difference on stuff when it hits that 5-10% range. Also sometimes you can combine with Chase 5% categories + paypal. I consider Chase UR points worth 1.8cpp so you get roughly 1.8*5*100 = $9.40 back per $100!

Guess it depends: The Samsung S95B OLED and the LG C2 OLED deliver a somewhat similar experience, but they each stand out in different ways. Colors are significantly brighter on the Samsung, and it can display a wider color gamut with HDR content. Skin tones look better on the Samsung, but some colors look a bit unnatural at times. On the other hand, the LG has better black levels in rooms with a bit of natural light, whereas the Samsung is really best enjoyed in a completely dark room. The LG supports Dolby Vision, and it delivers a slightly more accurate HDR experience.
