If you are asking why this doesn't come with batteries and a charger you definitely don't need this lmao.

The $100 off Typhon is a way better deal and you won't need to spend $500 on a charger and two batteries.

I own a ton of arrma's and this is my favorite platform. I built one of these before they released the firestorm (mojave chassis kraton arms etc). Great rig.

hard to say. I own a few (I am a beginner) and the big ones seem a LOT easier to work on and fix stuff. They are just not cheap when parts break

$399 is a crazy price though for 1/7 scale and brushless. These are pretty much as big as you it normally gets unless you get the 1/5 and 1/6 losi ones or a few others.

This guy knows what he's talking about. That's a great deal on a more reasonable car to start with, and will still be a monster to you if you are asking "why this doesn't come with batteries". Cheaper parts, cheaper batteries, and less likely to kill your neighbor's dog. Both are great deals, but I'd definitely start with the 3s if you don't know what this thing is to start with. (ps: I own both)

What? There is no jumper. This runs on Lipos period. Big ones (not the biggest though). If you don't realize that, start googling before you burn your house down.

I believe they are talking about the typhon mega that comes with a nimh but can be used with a lipo if you switch the jumper.

Honestly I think the fireteam is a great deal because of the big scale and the way it looks. I think the fireteam should be fine running 2s batteries and if you buy a $55 charger, you can get 2 2s batteries for $27 right now. That's not too bad you're a little over $100 for 4 batteries

Yeah it's definitely a great deal, I just think a typhon 3s is better for someone completely new to it, but just an opinion. I imagine you could run the fireteam off of 2S although I've never researched or tried it.... idk where you are finding 2 for $27 or what size they are or what runtime you'd get - but I get < 15 minutes out of a 6S 5000mAh battery and those are $60+ each even for generic Chinese batteries from amazon. And they can take a long time to charge on a cheap little charger.

Hoovo batteries are 2 for $27. I'm talking 2x2s which is what 4s. Also my $55 charger does 10a which is not slow. Only thing is it's a single battery charger which I think is fine. It's about 4.5 hrs to charge 4 batteries.
