I would always choose the white one over the black one for a new purchase, but if you aren't having problems, it may not be worth replacing it either...
Surprisingly responsive on the notifications to my iPhone.

Sadly that's the only model and year that wont work with MyQ and this deal is no good for you.
Just kidding; I have a 2007 and it works just fine. Here is a compatibility link to try your combination: myQ Compatibility Tool | myQ [myq.com]

If your looking for compatibility with Google home, get an Aladdin Genie. You set it up and just works. No fidgeting around with MyQ's ridiculousness that can't even open the door when yon ask.

1 Hub can control more than 1 Door Sensor and as noted its cheaper to buy the entire item 2 times as the Door Sensors they sell are never on Sale and are about $20-$40. You can keep the hub as a backup and simply use the sensor from the 2nd unit.

There are many idiots who swear by lamespot (fakespot) that only gives a grade rating and literally nothing else. That is a perfect example of how someone becomes braindead.

Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling the app, restarting your phone, etc? If there's a problem on MyQ's end, it's likely temporary. I've run into problems where their servers would be down, but it's not frequent and usually doesn't last long.
With a large service like this, you can almost guarantee that the problem is on your end unless you go to a site like downdetector and see that the whole service is down. Just a suggestion as a future troubleshooting tool.
