Standard price is $2700 for this combo.

Since it's release, I have not seen this system with the 300W sub for less than $2200.
The next best price currently is from the same seller on Amazon for $2098.

Reverb.com has purchase protection and guarantees that all brand new items are from authorized resellers and have full manufacturer warranty and free returns within 30 days of purchase.

To those who don't know, these speakers are rather large for what you'd think. You'll likely need space on both sides of your TV so they aren't in the way

Reverb appears to be a marketplace - would this be a problem in regard to the device warranty?

Price sounds too good to be true. Now if it's Amazon then yes. Anyone has experience dealing with Reverb or Great Bay Music? Buy it at your own risk IMO.

Great Bay Music is not an authorized retailer for Sony. https://electronics.sony.com/retailers

This actually ships from Focus Camera which is an authorized dealer listed at https://electronics.sony.com/retailers

I was skeptical as well but a co-worker of mine is a musician and he buys and sells stuff on Reverb often without any issues. I believe they are owned by Etsy which gives them credibility. Although it says Great Bay Music on the site, it shipped from a company called Focus Camera which is a retailer on Amazon and also an authorized dealer for Sony.

I realize it says Great Bay Music but when I received my shipping confirmation it shipped from Focus Camera which is an authorized dealer. See attached screenshot.

Did your receipt say the item was purchased from Focus Camera?

The confirmation email I received from Reverb says purchased from Great Bay Music. I should receive it tomorrow or Monday so I will share if the included paperwork says Great Bay Music or Focus Camera.

Let us know how the experience goes. I just wished they don't charge any sales tax which will make the deal much sweeter. I checked the other website where I bought my Samsung 950T brand new (<$1k - OTD tax included) while others were charging hundreds more. Their catch is you won't know who the seller is until you accept any counter offers and the merchandise is shipped. The seller is an authorized dealer as indicated on the website and the sales reciept.

Also interested to know how your experience goes. I just finished piecing this together off Amazon warehouse finds (without the pads and HDMI cable) for about the same price but may return and buy new. The Amazon return window is hard to beat though (through 1/31/23).

Do you like or love the unit with the sub? I read mixed reviews from Sonys so called 360 degree bubble advertisement. I have the Samsung 950T and its actually not bad but varies heavily dependant on the input source and I wanted a better upmix processing capability on the Atmos effect from all sources across the board when activated.

The HT-A9 isn't coming in till next Tuesday so I don't have any experience with it yet. Currently, I'm running the HT-A7000 with the SA-SW5 and, while the sound quality is great, the A7000 leaves a lot to be desired with Atmos (at least in my room configuration with no rear speakers). It's very faint and not very convincing. I was going to add SA-RS5 rear speakers but that put me in the same price range as the HT-A9 and I have the space for discrete speakers so I'm going to try that out in the next couple of days and decide which direction to go. Apparently having rear speakers makes the Atmos effect far more effective.

Edit: I also have an A80J so I have the option of using that as a center speaker as I've read mixed reviews on the virtual center speaker.
