I hate you, there is always one person who mentions their lifetime sub in each of these threads. J/k I don't, I'm just jealous. And kicking myself for not pulling the trigger on lifetime back then instead of the 3 yr deal

Have had them for about 6 years now. I don't think we can call them a fly by night company anymore that's looking for a cash grab only to fold tomorrow.

How does this compare to Mullvad? My current VPN I'm using and I'm tempted.
Mullvad is really good, but more barebones.

Windscribe has more features (built in ad blocker, streaming content from other countries, etc).

Love Windscribe. Hate Stack social.

I signed up for windscribe many years ago like other people. My license is set to expire in January. I signed up for the deal as before, but for wherever weird reason, the coupon didn't go through and I was charged the full price. I contacted stack social and they said they would credit my account in the next 2-3 days. However they then went completely ghost for over a week. I was forced to file a claim with PayPal. They responded by deleting my account which I've had for 10 years.

Windscribe is great though. I've use them overseas and I use them to watch games that are blacked out in my area for licensing issues on ESPN. They have a large list of server locations and speed is pretty good

Depending on your use case, either one should work. This is probably the better price since the best non-cashback deal (in the past that) I could find for NordVPN was $20/year.

Have a friend moving from the US to Europe and thinking of getting this as a gift. Would this be good to allow her to use with something like Netflix to get US/any other country's catalog?

Thanks so much. I was able to restart my 3 years pro subscription that just ended last week. I could get it for $50.29. Pretty good deal I would say though I was able to get it for $36 for 3 years in 2019.
This VPN has worked really good for me over last 3 years and I just wish they had unlimited plans but I guess no company would offer that anymore
Same here, got the 3 year deal for $36. back in 2019. has worked well for streaming content in other countries.

FYI, I tried to purchase on iOS Safari browser and no entry area for the coupon code was visible on checkout page. I had to switch to iOS Firefox for option to enter the coupon code to appear.

Can I use my 3 year key on a previously existing free account, or do I need to create a brand new account for it to be valid? EDIT - it was easy, just redeem voucher from existing account using the Stack Social key code.

Yes. Login then go to the pricing page and enter the code you get in the "promotion code".
it gave me a weird error that mastercards are not supported but then it took the code and extended my sub for 3 years anyways.

Thanks for your comment.

Looking at the price, it seems they must have used a coupon code to get that price.

This is a form of DNS filtering. Nothing at all related to a VPN. One has nothing to do with the other.
