They ensure someone keeps giving them access to all their private data, which the user agreement when you set up the device guarantees. Your data is worth a small fortune. Google didn't become a goliath selling phones.

interesting the Pixel 6a is not on the trade-in list. Many of us have the Pixel 6a on the way from other trade in deals that made if nearly free in the past few days.

You can't trade in a phone that currently is part of "contract". "Contract" is a loose term meaning you have some type of "credits" associated with the phone. Basically, until the credits are done, Verizon has their hands on your phone. Your only option is is pay it off with Verizon, then you can trade it in, but you will lose an unpaid bill credits.

Haven't seen any details mentioned but for me trying to trade the P6P for a P7P, gives me $550 trade-in value.

So $200 plus tax. Wish it was $50 or $100 max without a special code.

Edit: Should say Tax is on the pre trade-in $750 value. To be clear.

It will take forever to get your money back for your trade. It's been 3 weeks and I haven't heard anything about my trade in, yet.
