They ensure someone keeps giving them access to all their private data, which the user agreement when you set up the device guarantees. Your data is worth a small fortune. Google didn't become a goliath selling phones.

interesting the Pixel 6a is not on the trade-in list. Many of us have the Pixel 6a on the way from other trade in deals that made if nearly free in the past few days.

I did this before black Friday pricing. I did get the full $440 for my pixel 6, but it took a little over 3 weeks to get approved. I also have pixel super fan codes, so my entire family got paid to upgrade their phones.....crazy good deal this year.

You can return the phone with the holiday extended period now
If you check 'accept adjusted trade-in value' then you get whatever they say your 6 is worth instead of $479

I haven't heard many casess where Google has degraded the value of someone's trade-in. Have you?

I mean the questions on phone condition are pretty straightforward. If you answer honestly I'd be confident in getting the total value. I did on my 3a XL trade-in anyway.

Actually, I've heard a few Internet stories of people getting screwed over by Google on their trades, so I am a bit concerned.

gotcha. how do you like it? and what case did you end up going with
Pixel 7 and Pro are riddled with modem issues. I returned my Pro because it dropped data signal all day and night. I chatted with google about a fix and he said return it, its a known issue

So, same issues as the Pixel 6? Why bother upgrading?

I am new to Pixel, so I dont suppose the 6 is the same thing as the 6a, since there is no choice for trade in of a Pixel 6a on the purchase page.
Anything with "a" at the end of it is the cheaper made version of that model. Similar features, but using less expensive materials

Definitely something nefarious involved. If the product is free, the product is you.
Oh the product is you alright, but it is still far from free

One added note. I just got the pixel 6a 2 days ago and received a similar superfan code today for buying the phone. Just used it to get my wife a new phone.
After buying a 6a on sale with a pixel 3 trade-in and superfan code, followed by getting and giving out the code. I technically got a free phone and a $200 credit.

You can't trade in a phone that currently is part of "contract". "Contract" is a loose term meaning you have some type of "credits" associated with the phone. Basically, until the credits are done, Verizon has their hands on your phone. Your only option is is pay it off with Verizon, then you can trade it in, but you will lose an unpaid bill credits.
That doesn't sound right. You are getting bill credits for the device you traded in, if you lose your phone, they don't stop giving you credits.

If you "lose" the phone, the credits will continue. However, you can't trade in a phone associated with bill credits.

I recent did lose my pixel 6 in ocean, but I had replacement insurance. Cost me $229 for a replacement phone. I still have 1 year of bill credits.

I just chatted with a rep and was told I could activate a new phone on my line and continue to receive my trade in discounts for my old phone. Of course you can't trade in your phone with verizon and still get the credits but you can with a third party.
