They are waterproof but need to be hardwired into a junction box (say from your eaves).
Also, another negative (or positive for some): " Please note the power adapter is not waterproof and the four flood lights are connected to each other on one cord and can not be cut."

At least these are govee so you can have 1 app for a ton of different things. But yea constantly having something plugged into an outdoor box is going to be annoying for most people.
So now youll need to run a separate 120 outside to a new box so you dont have an extension cord on your front porch year round. Its just very meh.
Spending idk 200 bux and time etc to make a $60 light kit not jank.
But that is indeed how outdoor lighting goes. Lots of jank or lots of work. Pick one
Govee is making a huge push with USA marketing. Did you see their Permanent outdoor lights? Big holiday item, out of stock non stop, but very cool item. https://youtu.be/QyDQR1Tnquw

In for a set as I wanted a way to use google voice to add light to an outside area. Note that In addition to a sockit box or the like for the plug if you live somewhere that isn't dry it's a good idea to spring for weatherproof tape for each light as a handful of the reviews mention water ending up INSIDE the lights...
I'm looking for some lights for my bedroom which i could put on furniture to shine on the ceiling and provide indirect accent lighting. Must be dimmable and voice assistant compatible. Can anyone suggest something better?
Why are so many comments blank? I'm confused. The first page and half of the second have blank entries (?).
It's the lighting in here!
No, seriously: that used to happen to me fault often using the dark mode. I just have is using it, but a workaround is highlight the text as if you'd going to copy it.
I just installed a ton of outdoor Govee lights including this one. These are awful and I'm returning tomorrow. Main issues: brightness (it's brightness setting it what you'd probably expect for its lowest setting) and it's plastic (probably won't last more than a year).

Exactly what I didn't want to hear after finally thinking these were perfect. What other outdoor Govee outdoor lights are you keeping, what is better?

Philips Hue Lily's are only about 590 lumens... I think for their application (outdoor accent lighting meant for when it's very dark outside), it's plenty of lumens.
It's accent lighting with that many lumens (~5W). If you wanted monument lighting, or uplighting that covers the entire face of something, you need something like a 30W RGB flood.
Remember that lumen output is likely measured at max brightness in daylight white; lumen output drops considerably when using colors.
