Picked these up @ $60 in December. Not bad for the price. The spacing between the panels is okay, but the starting length from the plug is a little shorter than I would like or expect. Plastic spikes used to hold in the ground may not last, we'll see. Neighbors were impressed with the results. Bright enough if using white. Single red, green, blue is a little dim for the front of the house.
I have these as well. For $60 they are nice. I think with some digging it can be really customizable, the timer is great, there are some pre made DIY settings from the community that I used for xmas. You may be a little disappointed out of the box but once you have it set up I think you'll be impressed.
I wouldn't mind some tips and tricks for them but right now I have them set up to kind of mimic my flicker bulbs on my front porch. Basically my entire porch looks like a fire flicker.
Like the user above said, I think if you're projecting onto the house it may be dim but the roof over my porch really makes the color vibrant.
