Going to guess if you don't know what to do with it, you don't need one.

I'm assuming these only work on Bosch routers? Or is the bolt spacing pretty universal on this stuff?

May be someone has a different experience than I am. I bought one of these sometime ago and can't get them to center like the threaded type (like the Porter Cable one). The center piece use 2 flat head countersink screws so there is no adjustment there on my Bosch router bases. If your router base mounting screw use the same countersink screws, then this become pretty much unusable. Ended up making a new base that can use pan head type screws with bigger holes to get some adjustment to get it centered.

I've made things like this out of a variety of different size bottle caps. I didn't know you could buy a professional one. I guess my idea can't be patent it. Oh well

Their adapter is good, but their guides are garbage. Too thin, and they just don't hold up well.

I use the adapter with PC styles, and it's the best setup for Bosch.

But, making your own gives you a lot more versatility. But that can be said for just about every woodworking jig. Especially for routers. Tables, lifts, circle jigs, dado jigs... all these things can be made better than the overpriced version often sold to Woodworkers.

There's very few things out there that can't be made better, or for less money, than that which we make ourselves.

I'm still amazed that so many overpriced brands/companies exist still in this era.

Maybe your black base plate was off center? This video demonstrates centering it before installing this Bosch adapter (around 6min)

put 'Router' in the title...something like "router templates" because Bosch makes dishwashers and spark plugs...all kinds of things
