I was staunchly against these pits. As a big fire guy, I thought they were essentially a scam. I was wrong.

I went to a party where they had the Yukon, and I was impressed. I decided to get the bonfire and the pit is truly amazing. There is no smoke once you get it rolling. I don't think I could ever go back.

It seems like maybe the shine has worn off on these things, maybe? I keep seeing deals and combos for them, whereas initially it seemed that they were going with the 'it's premium / never discounted' model.

Maybe some of the knockoffs have encroached on market share.

Question for the community - are these worth it?

I suppose the fact that SD Mods are shilling on their behalf suggests that this is less a 'deal' than a paid advert, which would then lead to the notion that this deal and the corresponding product are, in fact, shite.

I have a Dragonfire smokeless firepit. It was "cheap" in price and maybe somewhat in material also. I am guessing the metal is a tad thinner and it does have some surface rust on it. BUT it has a 23.5" opening and that's the smallest opening I'd recommend you get. It's hard to stick logs in if it was any smaller and you don't want the logs protruding out the opening. Not sure if that will become deeper rust but I've had it almost 2 yrs and exposed to weather most of the time. I should have covered it when it was not in use. I am guessing it will easily last 5 yrs if not longer. When solo stove came out as well as breeo, I was tempted by the cool design and function but put off by the $$$$$$. You can also look at youtube for smokeless firepits to make one too... Here's an old expired link if you are looking for a starting point in getting a Dragonfire:

I was able to get the $50 code. If you call in, you don't need to change any settings on your browser or phone. Otherwise, I had to turn off this IP tracking setting on my iPhone and then turned it back on after I used the $50 code. Here are the terms and conditions: "To qualify for the $50, the referred customer must be new to Solo Stove, not in a private or incognito browsing session and in the same location (IP address) where they initially accessed the offer code." You can try googling for the code generator or ask me for the code
