Yes, it does come with a pen. I asked the customer service and got that answer.

I recently got this directly from Lenovo. Excellent Chromebook tablet. I had the 1st gen Duet, which was quite good itself, but this 2nd gen is a significant improvement. Keyboard is better and less cramped, display is more vivid, and performance is better (especially running Asphalt 9, which is my litmus test). The 8 GB model (only available directly from Lenovo) does come with the pen, which works well. This will get Chrome OS updates all the way until June 2030.

The only downside I can think of is that the stereo speakers aren't very loud. They're on the side edges (compared to the 1st gen, where they were along the top edge) -- probably a little better this way for stereo separation when watching media, but it's also easy to block the speakers when holding the tablet in landscape.

How good is Lenovo's support for chromebooks vs their tablets?
What kind of support do you mean? It'll get Chrome OS updates until June 2030, which is good longevity. My 1st gen Lenovo Chromebook Duet had no significant technical issues after 2 years, so I didn't have to deal with tech support for anything.

read that performance was slow, but its hard to believe with a chromebook. paying 50% more for 8gb of RAM doesn't sound like a deal to me, but from experience is 4GB enough?

You also get a pen and 128GB storage. 8GB to run Linux programs.

***Use code: EXTRA5 for an extra $16 off the final price***

Found this deal on my own and had to come make sure it was even posted since I didn't remember seeing anything about it.

Fairly recent device with 8gb of RAM, support through the rest of the decade, detachable keyboard, a stylus included, and solid reviews to back it up? Yes, please. This is impulse buy material.

I bought it and will have to just figure out what to do with my $150 Lenovo ThinkPad I got from one of the deals a couple of months ago. For me, the form factor of the Duet just makes the idea of a Chromebook so much more feasible for casual daily use than a standard laptop form factor. I didn't realize that when I bought the ThinkPad but have quickly realized that my flagship phone is almost always going to be the thing I grab when moving around the house compared to a folding laptop with only 4gb RAM. I find that my ThinkPad rarely ever gets picked up as I don't enjoy the feeling of the keys on my hands when I use it in tablet mode. The ThinkPad is a great device... just not great for my uses, I've found. I'm hoping this move makes me more invested in a Chromebook since they really are excellent and capable devices

I watched and waited months in 2022 for this launch, and it came almost 1/2 year late. This now is effectively 2+ year old budget performance config, and that gives me pause even at the $310 price (no matter how long I can update with long-term support ChromeOS).

As a daily driver, I wonder if the smarter spend is to wait for sub-$549 Surface Pro 7+ deals that will likely come. (I leave it to Apple users to wonder about good value-for-dollar iPad equivalents.)
