Consensus for older models is that V10 > V8 > V11…13 > V7 (paraphrasing older posts on the dyson vacuums from slick deals). This ranking is based on pure value. Newer models have some fancy features but have significant costs.

V10 and V8 are comparable. V10 has a great design and sucks hard. V8 is the easiest to open and empty and balances battery life and power.

Everyone here agrees the fluffy head is a game changer. I love it.

Just got this over all the other Dyson vacuum deals(older and newer) the past few days. Did too many hours of research to finally decide on this. If you're in the market just buy this because I did all of the research for you.

For how much these cost, they fall apart pretty quick. V6 died after 2 yrs, V7 died this year (bought 2.5 yrs ago) and V8 is great, but expect it to not last more than 2 yrs either.

This used to be a common deal in 2018 or 2019, and sometimes even cheaper on cyber Monday or before Christmas. It's crazy how times have changed for Dyson deals

I have this. Absolutely perfect for my house that has tiles and carpets! The Dok is a plus but I'd rather hang it on the wall.

Jesus what are you vacuuming? My v7 is still going strong. Maybe need a new battery one of these days, but that's about it. I've had it for 4 years now I think.

Definitely not! V11 at Costco is Torque Drive+, which only comes with regular head.
This V10 comes with fluffy head, and extra floor Dok, which is way much better deal.

Thanks OP. I bought the V10 refurbished or $300 and doc separately for $50, so I figured $399 for new for both is worth it. Nice vacuum!

My refurbished V6 is still going strong since 2018. Used almost every day. Wish I had a fluffy head, but I since I feel it's death is soon (I just want to upgrade) I haven't gotten one.
