I have the 40 - great amp - has a 10" speaker. Never used one of these but heard mention that the smaller 8" driver in the 25 doesn't cut it, no power, and just can't get low, even for practice use.
The fact that it's a modeling amp with loads of preset sounds is awesome though!
Yeah I have the rumble 40. Overall not bad, good tone shaping, unbelievably light, and decent amount of power. It can struggle to keep up with a drummer depending on the music style and player. I imagine the 25 will have a much harder time in a live band setting.
I later got a GK and it blew the thing out of the water in all aspects but I still have the rumble. However the GK is in another class at like 3x the cost of the 40. Considering the price point though, the rumble is fantastic without breaking the bank.
I'd personally recommend passing on this and going for the 40 since the extra power will go a long way. It's also still deceivingly light and has a better tone with the 10" woofer. But if you're looking for a cool practice only amp, this is probably fine.
I'd also recommend to those not in a rush to get an amp to find a used one locally if possible. Sometimes can get a very good deal.
If you're a beginner/amateur who practices bass at home, this amp is sufficient and not loud. My 11year old kid plays with this bass amp and it's not overly loud
