The device has been active on the associated account for at least 12 months

For the 10,000th time since people seem to ask it over & over & over & over...

Best Buy does not take trade-ins of phones that benefit from the same promo. Meaning, you can't trade a S21 FE/S22 (any)/ZFlip 4/Z Fold 4 towards a different phone in that same group.

You can't trade a S21 FE for anything
You can't trade a S22 for a S22+ or Ultra
You can't trade a S22 for a Z Flip/Z Fold 4

Is there any reason I couldn't buy a phone with this promo and not activate it until Christmas? Planning it as a gift, and won't be activating it before then. Should I wait and see if there are better deals before Christmas or is this as good as it will get?
