They're very different. This one isn't a mechanical keyboard and has 10 keys. Really depends on what you prefer.

Should be just fine for that type of usage.

Squeaky spacebar on mine (going to return it) and if you read Amazon reviews, the black paint on the keys wear off. Granted this happens on most keyboards over a long period of time but there are an abnormal amount of people mentioning it for this keyboard.

Spent the extra money and get a mechanical keyboard. It's worth it.

Actually, my bros and I have used this keyboard for a couple of years now and the paint has never worn out compared to others I've used. All of these do have a squeaky spacebar though, so don't replace it thinking you got a bad one or something. I know the keys aren't replaceable, but that doesn't mean that you cant remove the spacebar to lubricate the metal squeaky piece. I might try it later.

Both are similar, same class. Like Civic vs. Corolla.

Apex Masters and Overwatch Top 500 player here. It gets the job done. I have owned multiple mechanical keyboards in the past, but it's all preference, and since I don't like the sounds or tactile feel of mechanical I went with this one last year. I love it and wholly recommend it.

From a non-gaming perspective, the keys are a little lower to the ground that some other membrane keyboards that mimic the keycap size of mechanicals (Corsair K55 RGB Pro comes to mind). If you are used to using a mechanical and looking for something truly silent, this could take some getting used to. It's not laptop keyboard low, but somewhere in between.

The only downside for me is that the Razer Synapse software is really annoying and always asks you to restart your PC anytime it updates (which feels too often for it to actually be doing anything worthwhile). Obviously you can just not restart and it works fine, but if I'm being nitpicky, it is a downside.

love the dedicated volume and RGB.
Mechanical is too loud for my home office even with Red switches and O-rings

Any suggestions for a mouse to go with this keyboard? I'm looking at the DeathAdder Essential for $20. That is only an ok deal, but adding it with the keyboard gives free shipping at least.
