Damn you can even get 1 case design from the same Amazon page that has a 3.5" bay! I didn't think I would see one of those in 2022. What would you even put in a 3.5" bay these days?

A front panel hub? Get some front USB C on those old cases.

You mean 5.25 bay or internal 3.5 bays?

These are for the builds for our parents. I hand down my couple year old hardware every couple years. Sure, I could buy them an external hard disk, but I've got a stack of that I'll never use. thankfully I don't have to convince them they don't need a floppy drive anymore.

I just built a computer this week for a customer that insisted on having a CD burner. They do photography. I suggested a thumb drive would be better for their clients, but alas they wanted CDs. Was actually quite hard to find a nice case with a 5.25", wish this had been available.

This is a nice case for someone who wants the modern style case with the power supply hard drive garage and glass panel but also still wants a disc drive

I used to do photography and my wife still does. We used the CD burner for the longest time but it's been at least 3-4 years since we burned our last one. Most of our clients tell us that they prefer the USB drives and lots of people don't even have CD drives in their computers /laptops anymore. Interesting that this person is still insisting on it but maybe they have really old fashioned clientele.

Yeah, the one posted by OP does have a 5.25 ODD bay but one of the other case options from the same page as OP's has a 3.5" bay. I can get a 5.25 ODD bay for a DVD-RW but I was taken aback by the 3.5" bay.

Despite what manufacturers and many users might believe, there is still a large user base of dvd/bd burners. So 5.25" bay is a necessity for many, myself included. 3.5" bay is great for adding front panel USB ports or a multi-card reader/writer.
