  • ​It includes a 28"-wide track loop around which multiple cars race and avoid near misses
  • ​One Hot Wheels vehicle is included, but the challenge lies in how many cars kids can have flying around the track at one time before there's an awesome crash (additional cars sold separately)!
  • ​The peripheral track pieces unsnap and hook onto the side of the massive loop for easy storage. There are also slots atop the battery box to hold up to five cars
  • Recommended for ages 5 years and up

We got this last year and of the 40+ hot wheel cars and trucks we own, maybe 1 or 2 would make it around the loop more than once. It looks cool but my kid lost interest pretty quick

Are there certain kinds that would be better for it? Is it the width of the cars, the weight, or something else?

We literally just dropped this off at the Goodwill yesterday. Our kids have had it for the past 6+ month, but rarely played with it. We've found our kids (aged 5 and 6) enjoy the "built your own" hotwheels track sets much more (and they continue to play with these a ton, plus they store a lot easier!). Once this one is setup, there's not a lot to do with it, and the initial excitement of a huge loop wears off.
