The Positive Grid Spark40 Guitar Amplifier with Travel Bag ($60 itself normally) is the lowest price I'm aware of at $209. I paid $229 two weeks ago thinking that was their Black Froday pricing (It matched last years BF price and the code was BFsomething) but they've dropped it another $20! Best deal I've seen on a FANTASTIC practice amp.
Price on sales page is $219 with selectable coupon code PGBF10 to bring it to $209

There is also coupon code B2WR9G3OY7 good for $10 off sitewide if you want to grab anything else like some plugins. It does NOT stack with the sale price on the amp, best I can tell.

Do you use the Control footswitch? Can you comment on it?
Also a used 1x12 Katana mk2 under $175 is a fine option with effects built-in. But the 50 lacks effect loop and a better speaker. The 100 is pricey and weighty. And if you wanted matching BOSS effects that way, you could add BOSS Pocket GT to your tube(or solid state) amp for about $100. But it's hard to beat $40 for the Cube Baby as it has just about everything; but a looper(also). Because a looper is best through an effects loop connection in back.
You do not have to have a practice-only amp at all. Why not get a clean to metal combo deal that does both? If you are looking for the slick, less cost deal.
The small spark is really interesting; but only the larger one can almost play live with a rock drummer. Tamer volume OK. But why not get one combo and optional multi pedal to rule them all? For LESS!
Just say no to practice amps. The MP combo is just 25lbs with huge mag 12" Celestion speaker. The first part in classic tones. Not emulated; not that emulation is bad on select digital amps. Tube or digital or both works.
Do keep in mind ALL the current digital amps will be obsoleted, we know. So it will drop in value like a rock. Look at Katana Mk1 prices and it's not even unsupported yet; but will be. Any updates will stop. And when they blow and it happens then it may be to late to find supplied parts, much harder to repair and take more time doing it. Some digital amps are still GREAT; but I'd shop used for about half price only. And a tube amp is easy ti fix; if technical or with a tech friend. They can have easier, classic tube using circuits, still supported by repair techs, ongoing. Tube amps are usually cost prohibitive. However; the MP 15W (like 50W) amp is less cash and more value. FYI.
Be carefully collecting everything. We probably only need one backup; if that. And all this talk of gear motivating you is overrated. If you can't practice with the guitar you have then you just will not practice.
Ironically I am a gadget and computer head; but refuse to spend more time programming my guitar gear and computers instead of playing.
The Cube Baby, in manual mode, are just a master volume and 9 knobs for everything and all the EQ, amps, cabs tones and effects. Simple. No menu. IR loading computer connection optional. And it already has a full compliment of the most styles/tones as adjustable. And it's a 3 presets foot switch as well. Noise cut, with phone and USB interface. Oh and LONG-life self-powered rechargeable by USB; in about 5m. It lasts so long; that you don't want to forget to charge it; before you go mobile. But any standard phone charger will do the job. Even in the car. No spaghetti and power costs. No tiny patch cables and costs. It's tiny and with solid, robust build. No waiting on any computer or phone, to use it. No latency issues.
So, we're spoiled. LOL
Jammed with some friends and all demoed their Spark and my MP 15W tuber. Went through all the tones on each and they want my MP. It's not just a one tone tube amp, it does a many and it can play quieter than the strings unplugged; but does benefit from the Cube Baby and all it's settable amp nuances, etc.. for getting nearly anything.
If you only had $40 or looking for a gift for your guitar player then the Cube Baby can work by itself, into what ever power amp you have, like an old free stereo. If all you want is practice; this would get you all sounds. And work as back up to future combo amps. And in combination. Or when you need all your gear to fit in your Jacket. No, I do not work for them. It just works for me. Wish.com has it; but be careful with Wish. Get their discounts to offset shipping costs. And any other deal ways to lower the total cost.
BTW, No one needs rock stadium amps now-a-days generally. Watts are not volume 1:1. 15W tube amp is perfect. 50W+ digital, including + headroom for cleans. And practically few would ever need to play stadiums.People are over the too loud and deaf thing. Loud is cool; but not to much. Why restrict yourself from not having the volume with a drummer, ever. You could and even make your 1 better, non practice-only amp work; even in a stadium. As monitor and/or out to the PA.
Beware the player with one amp! They know how to use it and they are rockin' ready. Everywhere. With NOTHING else to buy.
I'm not saying it isn't horses for courses or special situations. We can have multiple combos for different purposes. I'm sure the very successful rock stars do; but see that gets to be a problem. Gear acquisition syndrome and it's not practicing or performing. Even for fun. Whole lot'a myths going on.
And if you are buying for a gift; don't give crappy practice amps just because you think that will keep the volume under control. Wasted funds on toy step-up amps, with novice features going out of date quickly, and most sounding boxy and unable to play in the basement with a real drummer.
Research FIRST.
It's not a slick deal; if you do not need it.
Only YOU can have self-control.

Mine is supposed to be delivered today.
I see now it says 'low stock'.. didn't say that when I ordered, but yeah it hasn't shipped yet..
And only way to get in touch with them is via ticket.. If it gets back-ordered I'd just shift to a Fender Mustang
Usually the unit takes around 7 business days to ship (not counting weekends)
The approximate shipping time for your Spark Traveler Gig Bag is
now mid February.
We take full responsibility for this oversight, and sincerely apologize for the delay.
They're offering a free copy of Bias FX 2 software, or $50 coupon code for their website.
I did got that email as well! I think it made it the deal even sweeter, isn't it? I'm figuring out what to get with $50 coupon, maybe the foot switch? Or Even mini?
