Just ignore that you can order without one. Don't go full strength

Just note: Vit A analogs/derivatives (such as tretinoin) have several black box warnings including the risk of birth defects. Please consult your doctor for anything requiring a prescription.

This is weaker watered down version. That's why it's cheaper than say retinol from Kiehl's which goes for like $60-70~ a bottle

Tretinoin is a lot stronger (from 20-100x+), most otc stuff does very little. Start with a smaller strength and use good sunscreen pa+++.

Best to get a rx from a dermatologist. Insurance usually covers and it's a cheap generic regardless.

Most high end beauty stuff is junk.

OTC products like this aren't going to fix severe acne scars. You need istretinoin for that, which requires a derm visit, and as someone already mentioned has several black box warnings, especially birth defects.

This would probably be sufficient for mild acne scars or "marks" as in the title. I would wager that Differin gel would likely work just as well, if not better than this product. Differin is available OTC now, used to be prescription.

For more moderate acne scars, you should be able to get a script for Retin-A from your PCP--if they won't prescribe it for you and want to refer out to derm, find yourself another PCP.
