Super low price for a great coffee container. Lid feels a little cheap, but I have several and they work great for short term storage of freshly roasted beans. Vacuum proves to keep fresh much longer than simply air tight.

if you're buying for coffee bean outgassing
better to get any wide mouth ball mason jar
then add any fermentation lid to it.
comes out cheaper than this pos.

... and useful, and dare-i-say faithful

"355 total ratings, 181 with reviews" <<< a very uncommon ratio

Will avoid after reading reviews. But I also doubt that it was their coffee beans releasing co2 which made them feel leaked. Do you think coffee beans can produce so much amount of co2?

Freshly roasted beans can release a lot of CO2, that is why sealed coffee bags have the small hole valve on them.

Fresh roasted releases a ton.

Vacuum sealing beans after they're roasted does very little to preserve the flavor, even if you get exotic and use nitrogen or co2 gassing. They start oxidizing as soon as you start roasting and then it's just a timer after. It might be worth it to you, depending on how much you buy and how long it takes you to drink it, but it just gets you a few days more lifespan, at best. Vacuum sealing + nitrogen/co2 gassing + freezing is for green, unroasted beans, which can be stored indefinitely.

Plus beans need a few days to oxidize and degas to taste their best. Tastes like watery crap before that. If you observe the grounds of fresh roasted, they release a ton of gas and bubble once they start brewing.

Probably inevitable failure of internal one way valve gasket
