I checked this out along with all the other Dedica's and didn't really notice anything different between them besides the wand.

From what I saw, if you don't really care about the wand or the extra accessories that the Arte come with, this is a solid deal.

I went ahead and bought this one over the Arte as the price diff pretty massive.

It is a huge discount. Amazon has the 680m on cyber Monday deal still about 260+. I bought it nearly 2 years ago, never regretted. 680 and 680m seem to have no difference, a confusing model name though.

I have the 685. If you get a bottomless portafilter and replace the steam wand with a Rancilio (guides on YouTube) it's a nice little machine

Can someone with more knowledge explain if this is better than this other machine to a total noob? Great machine. I learned espresso with it over 3 years. Trades up a year ago. Appreciate the small form factor, consistent brew and easy maintenance. Recommend getting a second double-shot basket so you can pump out multiple shots faster
