according to reviews these are great for ceiling cans as all the light shines downwards, but not good for table lamp as all the light shines upwards.

I got these for my island lights. I went through the research on the bacterial killing HEV and distance makes a big difference. Not that I only bought them for that. They are cheaper than the regular color bulb, if the HEV works, great. Otherwise still great color bulbs. I have a few already.
