It's convenient, it's decent quality, but you're right 2 minutes with a drill press and a chop saw, a clamp, a block of wood, and some bronze inserts and if you measured it all right it's the exact same functionality.

There's a little bit of flex when you clamp down, that's my only gripe with this setup. If you're doing cabinets on the fly as a carpenter, this thing is an incredible time saver. I love it!
