GoPro Hero 11 is on sale for 347.48 when you add the 1year GoPro Subscription and add to cart. The subscription can be canceled at anytime to avoid yearly fees.
I believe this is currently the lowest price for GoPro Hero 11. Alternatively, the bundle which includes a spare Enduro battery, The Handler, Head strap + quick clip and 32gb memory card is 389.98.

What's the status on the rumored class action? 3 generations on the same over promising and overheating on this device.
I have one and want a second one, they work just as good at the GoPro 11
4K with an excellent hyper smooth.
Add the protective cover and lens cover and you have the lens and camera protected forever.
My old one look brand new, takes great videos.

As for the over heating, just record at 2.7K60 and it's fine. 4K30 also works well. It's really only the 5K settings that causes over heating issues.

Mine is 6 percent.
Some critical upgrade I am missing?
Firstly, recording in an 8:7 ratio allows you to crop your video to 9:16 for TikTok, 1:1 for Instagram and 16:9 for YouTube after the fact, with zero quality loss. It's extremely handy for content creators that use multiple platforms.
The new sensor format also meant that GoPro could create the HyperView digital lens. This works like SuperView but with significantly more height captured, as well as additional width, resulting in an extremely wide FOV with lots of distortion. It works fantastically with chest-mounted cycling videos, capturing significantly more of the surroundings and creating an energetic sense of speed.
With some airflow (action) it doesn't overheat.

Yes, this is what most people don't get. This camera is a very compact piece of equipment. There's no active cooling just the passive heat sinks. And like others mention the overheating only really happens with the 5k format. In my opinion, 4k and 2k formats are more then enough for personal and even social media use.
On Amazon their reply was
"We've made several updates to improve thermal performance in HERO11 Black. This includes redesigning the heat sink, optimizing FW, and including the Enduro in-box with the camera."
True?
If you're actually active and giving it airflow, you should be good.
This thing is very small, very powerful (with all the processing enabled), and waterproof. Waterproof equals no ventilation.
So pick 2 out of those 3. You can't have all three. Or maybe even just pick one out of powerful/waterproof.
What about a water proof phone? A phone would throttle itself. Obviously this isn't acceptable here. So if you're going to keep it stationary and have an insane amount of image processing happening, there's a limit to how long a small, waterproof design can run without running into thermal issues.

False. We mountain bike with helmet, chest, and chin mounts. We do xc and dh runs. They constantly overheat. Airflow delays overheating—it doesn't prevent it.
