If that doesn't work tell her that there is a 5% off on dual subs or return customers.
If that doesn't work either tell her a single sub looks asymmetrical and dual subs look far better and proportionate in the room.

I do it that way and about every A/V person I know does as well
But I agree with you in that there are people that make selections on a whim and follow no process or logic whatsoever
These discussions and opinions are mainly based on AUDITIONING not what you do BEFORE!
If there is a "process or logic(or facts)"you and "every A/V person you know" have during auditioning other than listening, I'm going to say that is also a personal choice.

Clearly every AV person I know is a much smaller group than the " majority of Best Buy employees" that you have stated you have experience with..However, its still a very simple process

I paid the "premium" because I auditioned/compared Monolith vs SVS and I preferred the performance sound and feel of SVS in my setup.

What cable do it need to connect it to my receiver (Yamaha TSR-7850 7.2-Channel Network AV Receiver)? Should it come with one or not?
Previously I am using a subwoofer JBL Cinema 610.
Seems I need a RCA Audio Interconnect Cable, right?
